SAMPLE ITINERARY
- Day 1 -
Reykjavik, Iceland – Spend a wonderful day touring the picturesque countryside of Iceland. Visit the Krauma geothermal baths. Overnight in Reykjavik.
- Day 2 -
Reykjavik, Iceland – Today, climb aboard a specially designed off-road vehicle for a drive to Thingvellir National Park. You'll visit the Langjökull Glacier for an exciting ride over the ice! Visit the woodlands of Húsafell, Hraunfoss, and Barnafoss Waterfalls and Hvalfjorour Tunnel.
- Day 3 -
Isafjordur – Visit a local fishing village and sample the gourmet flavors of dried fish. Tour a fish processing plant and a cooking school.
- Day 4 -
Akureyi – Board a helicopter for an afternoon of excitement. Fly over the gorgeous Vatnsdalur Valley and Hraunsvatn Lake, and view Eyjafjördur, the longest fjord in Iceland.
- Day 5 & 6 -
At Sea
- Day 7 -
Honningsvåg – Climb on board a zodiac and cruise toward Sarnesfjord inspecting a string of crab-pots along the way. The king crab inside the pots will be cooked and served for today’s lunch once back onshore. Lunch will be served in a traditional lavvo, a Sami tent with an open fire in the middle. Guests sit on reindeer skins and observe the crabs being prepared.
- Day 8 -
Hammerfest – Take a leisurely drive along the Norwegian Scenic Route. Enjoy the charming fishing villages, amazing landscapes, and fjords. Watch for reindeer and sea eagles as you go!
- Day 9 -
Tromso – Embark on an exciting trip to Tromso Wilderness Camp and Sommarøy Island where you’ll enjoy a wonderful musical concert.
